• Welcome!

We are so excited to begin the third cohort of CoSN's Early Career K-12 CTO Academy.  We will kick-off with online meetings to get to know the thought partner/mentors, facilitator, and the other cohort members.  We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels a part of the Academy community.

Each participant will be partnered through out the year with a veteran CTO as a thought partner/mentor.  In addition to the content module discussed each month,   we will also  host deep dive discussions throughout the year  based on input from the academy participants.  Each participant will work on a capstone project throughout the year with their thought partner/mentor as a sounding board and guide.  The capstone project is designed to be work that the early career CTO can apply in his or her current position.  Each Capstone project will be presented in a brief Ingite type presentation.  Throughout the year, participants and thought partners/mentors will receive a monthly newletter with "News You Can Use."

Academy participants will be honored at the 2022 CoSN Conference.

As a veteran CTO myself with over 30 years experience I understand the opportunities and challenges of a CTO.  This type of opportunity would have been invaluable to me and my school system during my early years.  I look forward to working not only with the academy participants but also with CoSN, our sponsorsl, the thought partners, and the content area experts during the coming year.  As a former CoSN Board member and as a long standing CoSN member, I have always found that CoSN is the "go to" place for innovative ideas and great networking.

Applications must be received by September 1 at midnight EST. Additional details and the link to submit an application are available at www.cosn.org/TheAcademy.

Please email Jill Brown, CoSN Senior Manager of Professional Advancement, at jbrown@cosn.org with any questions.
